Hex Node I is a 3D printed plastic sculpture in an edition of 30 with 3 artist's proofs. It's 3" in diameter.
My drawings use reproductive processes found in microbiology and astronomy, urban planning and architectural theory as source materials. When Robert Henry Contemporary approached me about creating a multiple for my next exhibition, I initially considered producing a conventional print, but after some reflection I decided that going back to making sculpture would be a good opportunity to work out how some of the map-making I've been doing translates into three dimensions.
Hex Node I is available for purchase online at $100 plus $15 for shipping and handling.
